Port Moody Farmers Market kicks off with free summer concert

June 19, 2025 6:40am

The Port Moody Farmers Market will launch its summer season with a free Summer Kickoff Concert in the Recreation Complex parking lot at 300 Ioco Rd. Wednesday evening, June 25, 2025.

The location is easily accessible by car, bicycle or transit and is steps away from Moody Station. Admission is free.

Acoustic singer-songwriter Steven Marriott and Indo-folk artist Ranj Singh will begin back-to-back sets at 5 p.m. during regular Wednesday market hours of 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. “We’re excited to host our second annual summer concert, welcoming local musicians … who will provide the soundtrack for a beautiful evening in Port Moody,” said executive director Tabitha McLoughlin.

Mad Greek Food Truck, Sharbat Vancouver, Mi Tradicion Mexican, and Figs & Olives will join other market vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, and ready-to-eat snacks.  Families, friends and couples are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Founded in 2008, the Port Moody Farmers Market now operates weekly—on Wednesdays in summer and Sundays in winter—supporting local farmers, artisans, and small businesses with British Columbia-grown produce and handcrafted goods.
