An afternoon crash involving a motorcycle has snarled rush-hour traffic through Port Moody and left a motorcyclist in hospital with serious injuries.
In a press release, Port Moody Police said the crash occurred around 5 pm in the 2400 blk of Barnet Highway in Port Moody, near the Coquitlam border. The collision involved a motorcycle and a vehicle.
The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and has since been transported to hospital while the driver of the passenger vehicle was uninjured. “Eastbound traffic on the highway has been shut down and remains closed at this time” states Constable Sam Zacharias, adding, “we anticipate that the road will open within the next hour or so.”
