One of the Tri-Cities’ most anticipated holiday events returns this weekend as Crossroads Hospice Society hosts its annual Treasures of Christmas fundraiser on Saturday, November 8, at the Port Moody Inlet Theatre and Galleria.
This year’s theme, “Velvet & Ice,” will transform the venue into a winter wonderland for an evening of laughter, community, and compassion. The event will feature a live performance by Canadian comedian and author Charlie Demers, a gourmet dinner, and a variety of festive activities, including a silent auction, wine pull, diamond raffle, and door prizes.
Guests will celebrate the start of the holiday season alongside friends, colleagues, and community leaders, while supporting compassionate hospice and bereavement care across the Tri-Cities.
According to a press release by Crossroads Hospice Society, proceeds from the evening directly fund its 10-bed hospice residence in Port Moody and free grief support programs for children, youth, and adults.
“Treasures of Christmas is a celebration of community and the incredible compassion that sustains our work year after year,” said Sylvie Jensen, Executive Director of Crossroads Hospice Society. “Every ticket and every auction bid helps ensure that no one in our community faces end-of-life or grief alone.”
Crossroads Hospice Society, in partnership with Fraser Health, has provided end-of-life and bereavement support to residents of Anmore, Belcarra, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody since 1988. With demand for grief services continuing to grow, community fundraising remains essential to maintaining these programs.
A few seats remain for the event. Tickets are $115 and include dinner, entertainment, and entry to all evening festivities. Guests must be 19 or older.
The Treasures of Christmas celebration runs from 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, at the Port Moody Inlet Theatre and Galleria, 100 Newport Drive. Tickets are available here.
