Police are seeking witnesses and video footage after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Coquitlam over the holiday weekend.

The incident occurred Saturday, December 27, shortly before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Gordon Avenue and Christmas Way, where a Coquitlam RCMP officer discovered a man requiring medical attention.

According to investigators, the pedestrian was struck by a black 2017 Audi Q5 while attempting to cross the street. The male victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Audi remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police have ruled out alcohol and drug impairment as contributing factors in the collision.

“Our investigators are working to piece together what happened in the moments leading up to the collision,” Acting Corporal George Han, RCMP Media Relations Officer, said in a statement. “If you were in the area on Saturday, December 27, 2025, around 12:30 p.m., please contact us.”

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the Gordon Avenue and Christmas Way area during the time of the collision to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550, citing file number 2025-33217.
